Josélio Rosa Machado
Josélio Rosa Machado, founder of Grupo Nova Aurora in 1988, showed an innate entrepreneurial talent from an early age. Son of a leading dairy cattle rancher in southern Espírito Santo, José Rosa Machado. Josélio envisioned and realized bringing the beauty, the exotic, the functionality and quality of ornamental stones to homes and projects — residential and commercial — at a time when the sector was still underdeveloped. His vision lives on today, expanded through his children and the collaborators of Grupo Nova Aurora in the areas of extraction, production and commercialization of natural stones. His dream, boldness and partnership with clients made Josélio a prominent and respected entrepreneur. He believed in his people, in his children, and in the boundless possibilities of nature — and they carry his project forward today.

With own quarries in Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Bahia and Ceará, our ornamental stones — recognized for their quality both nationally and internationally — are the ideal choice for those seeking premium interior and exterior cladding. We offer stones with movement, excellent balance and stunning colors. We work with exclusive and exotic materials that bring elegance and a unique personality to any space, with endless application possibilities.

At Nova Aurora, sustainability is more than a commitment — it is a fundamental part of who we are. Mindful of the importance of preserving our environment, we strictly follow all environmental regulations in our operations. Our commitment goes beyond regulatory compliance. We are constantly seeking ways to minimize our environmental impact and contribute to a greener future. We are proud to operate our facilities with 100% renewable energy, resulting in a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions. We also implement a closed-circuit water system in which 95% of the water used is recycled, with the remaining 5% supplemented by rainwater collection. We have received the official certificate from the state of Minas Gerais for the creation of the Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN) Pasmado — an area of over 14 hectares dedicated to the preservation of local biodiversity. At Nova Aurora, sustainability is a priority in everything we do.
